Learning Objectives:
- Identify indications and contraindications for peripheral nerve procedures, including neurolysis, neuroectomy, nerve release, Targeted Muscle Reinnervation (TMR), and Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface (RPNI), in the management of lower extremity neuropathic pain and dysfunction..
- Describe and differentiate surgical techniques and intraoperative adjuncts, including the use of nerve monitoring to guide epineurotomy and optimize procedural accuracy and patient outcomes.
- Apply evidence-based decision-making to select appropriate surgical interventions for conditions such as traction neuropathy, neuroma, and drop foot, with consideration of expected functional outcomes and complication profiles.
